It All Started With..

a giant vision in the creatively genius mind of one man.  A departure from my normally meticulously detailed work, this piece took me just a few minutes to complete.  I wanted it to be loose, quick, and rough.  The famous image from which it was drawn really is a masterpiece in itself.

The larger-than-life castle looming over the man really epitomizes the enormous size of Walt Disney's vision.  It was so much bigger than any one man, yet he was its architect.  I am so thankful that he let nothing stop him from seeing his vision through to completion up until the day he passed from this world.  We are the benefactors of his undaunted persistence, even to this day.  Thanks, Walt!

Sneak Peek of EPCOT Japan Pavilion

Well, it's been a while since I have posted to this blog.  There are many reasons for this, but the primary one is that I have been so busy with web builds and commissioned artwork that I have not had time for doing more of my Disney art.  So... nothing new to post means no posting.  I have made a little progress on the Japan pavilion at EPCOT, and here is a little peek at what's to come:

EPCOT Japan Pavilion

I am really ready to complete the EPCOT pavilion series, but for now must stick to commissioned work, as I have four commissioned pieces to complete before our rapidly approaching trip to Walt Disney World.

Thanks for stopping by!

Keys to the Kingdom

This April we were excited to get to take our middle son on his "Keys To the Kingdom" tour for his 16th birthday (although it was a belated birthday present.)

Now this is my son who loves to draw like his mother loves to draw. But instead of drawing architecture, he loves cartooning and is very good at it. I know I am his mother and may be prejudiced when it comes to my children. But seriously, these are great. What do you think?
